Patrick McLain grew up in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Patrick navigated the turbulent recruiting seas and earned a spot with Cal Poly Mustangs Division 1 soccer program on the central coast of California. He went on to be a 3-year-starter from 2007-2011, earning multiple Big West Honors. After his senior season, he signed with Major League Soccer team, Chivas USA, earning his first professional cap in 2013. In 2015 Patrick signed with Sacramento Republic, 2016 with Chicago Fire, 2017 Minnesota United, 2018 Chicago Fire, and in 2019 with Orange County FC. Patrick’s hard work and determination took him from a small town kid with big dreams to one of the top goalkeepers in the country.
